Thank you for using the Youdon APP (the “APP”). The APP is operated and managed by Meco Technology Co., Ltd. (the “Company”). 

In order to protect users’ privacy and comply with the Personal Data Protection Act of Taiwan, the Company has established this Privacy Notice and Consent (the “Notice”). This Notice is intended to help you understand how the Youdon APP collects, uses, processes, transfers, and protects your personal data. 

By accessing, registering for, or using the Youdon APP, you acknowledge that you have fully understood the Company’s privacy protection mechanisms and that you have been duly informed of, and consent to, the purposes of collection, categories, methods, scope, duration, recipients, and geographic areas of use of your personal data, as well as the potential impact on your rights should you choose not to provide such data. 

Any matters not expressly provided for herein shall be handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and other applicable laws and regulations. 

 

I. Scope of Application 
This Notice applies to the collection, use, processing, transfer, and protection of personal data when you use any services provided through the Youdon APP. 

II. Personal Data Security Protecting users’ personal privacy is a core principle of the Company and the Youdon APP. Without your consent, the Company will not disclose your personal data to any third party unrelated to the APP, except under the following circumstances: 

• Where required by applicable laws or regulations; 

• Where requested by government authorities or judicial bodies; 

• Where necessary for the Company to exercise legal rights or defend against legal claims; 

• Where necessary to investigate or prevent illegal activities, fraud, potential threats to personal safety, or violations of the Youdon APP Terms of Service, or to take appropriate actions in response to such circumstances. 

 

III. Collection, Processing, Use, and Transfer of Personal Data 

The Company collects and uses your personal data only within the scope of specific purposes for which the data was collected and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. 

Unless otherwise provided in this Notice or required by law, the Company will not disclose your personal data to third parties or use it for purposes beyond those stated without your prior consent. 

You may choose whether or not to provide personal data. However, if the information you provide is incomplete or inaccurate, the Company and the Youdon APP may be unable to provide complete or optimal services. 

 

IV. Categories of Personal Data Collected 

The categories of personal data collected by the Youdon APP are defined in accordance with the Ministry of Justice’s classification under the Personal Data Protection Act and may be amended from time to time. Such categories include, but are not limited to: 

• C011 – Personal Description: 
  Such as age, gender, date of birth, place of birth, nationality, voice, etc. 

• C035 – Leisure Activities and Interests: 
  Such as hobbies, sports, and other personal interests. 

• C036 – Lifestyle Information: 
  Such as types of consumer products used, service details, and personal or household consumption patterns. 

• C111 – Health Records: 
  Such as medical reports, treatment and diagnostic records, test results, disability type, disability level, validity period, disability certificate number, and emergency contact information. 

• C120 – Religious Beliefs 

 

V. Specific Purposes of Personal Data Collection 

The specific purposes for which personal data is collected by the Youdon APP include the following categories as announced by the Ministry of Justice (subject to future amendments): 

• 040 – Marketing (including joint marketing within financial holding groups) 

• 069 – Contractual, quasi-contractual, or other legal relationship matters 

• 090 – Consumer and customer management and services 

• 135 – Information and communication services 

• 136 – Information and database management 

• 137 – Cybersecurity and information security management 

• 152 – Advertising or commercial behavior management 

• 157 – Investigation, statistics, and research analysis 

• 176 – Other legitimate purposes for personal data collection, processing, and use by natural persons 

 

VI. Use of Personal Data 

Period, Region, Recipients, and Methods 

• Period: 
  The Company and the Youdon APP will continue to use your personal data until you request termination of use or until the Youdon APP ceases to provide services. 

• Region: 
  Within and outside the territory of the Republic of China (Taiwan), except where prohibited by competent authorities. 

• Recipients: 
  The Youdon APP, affiliated companies, and cooperative partners entrusted by the Youdon APP to the extent necessary for service provision. 

• Method: 
  Use in a manner consistent with the stated purposes of collection and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. 

 

VII. Protection of Personal Data 

The Youdon APP stores your personal data in secure data storage systems and implements strict protective measures to prevent unauthorized access. Any personnel of the Youdon APP who violate confidentiality obligations shall be subject to applicable laws and internal disciplinary actions. 

To ensure the integrity and security of personal data, the data processing systems are equipped with appropriate information security controls and safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or destruction. 

Where third-party service providers are engaged due to business needs, the Youdon APP will require such parties to comply with confidentiality obligations and will conduct necessary audits or supervision to ensure compliance. 

 

VIII. Amendments to This Notice 

The Company and the Youdon APP may revise this Notice from time to time in response to changes in laws, regulations, or market conditions.

IX. Retention and Deletion of Personal Data 

We will retain your account data (including personal data and usage records) until you actively request deletion of your APP account. 

You may request deletion of your account data at any time through either of the following methods. Once deleted, account data cannot be recovered:

   Navigate to the “Settings” section on the member page and select “Delete Account.”
